Discovering Catharine, Inspiring Action

Tuesday, October 8, 2024.  7:00 p.m.

The Woman’s Club of Evanston

1702 Chicago Avenue, Evanston, IL

Join us for a special screening of the new film Discovering Catharine by Susan Hope Engel, which explores the life and legacy of Catharine Waugh McCulloch (1862 – 1945), one of the earliest female attorneys in Evanston, an active member of the Woman’s Club, and a fervent advocate for women’s rights.

Following the screening, a multi-generational group of Evanston-based female activists and change-makers will participate in a discussion linking women's contributions to civic life across generations. Attendees are encouraged to bring a family member or friend from a different generation to foster dialogue.

This event is Free (suggested donation of $10 to support ongoing free public programming)
